chlorella powder 263x164 Chlorella: Superfood with Incredible Detoxing CapabilitiesChlorella seems to be an undervalued superfood, offering a lot of nutrition in very small servings. But chlorella offers even more than high nutritional value per gram. It is a powerful detoxification source. It’s able to detox heavy metals mercury, lead, cadmium, aluminum, and barium and eliminate other ubiquitous pollutants, such as PCBs and other dioxides. Further, it detoxes without disturbing the necessary mineral elements of magnesium, potassium, iodine, and other important minerals.

We are heavily besieged by toxic pollutants from our food, water, from the air we breathe, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and the most prevalent toxic medical mercury source of all – dental amalgams.

As long as you chew food with those mercury amalgams in your mouth, you’re releasing mercury vapors into your body. But it takes a special type of dentist to remove them safely – a biological or holistic dentist.

Regardless of when or if you’re able to have these fillings removed properly (not to mention you will still be exposed to other toxins), it would be wise to incorporate a daily consumption of chlorella, which also chelates (binds and removes) mercury and other heavy metals.

The Chlorella Cell Wall Issue

Around the mid-twentieth century, chlorella was looked into as a food to solve problems of international food shortages and malnutrition. As a single cell algae, chorella is easy to produce in natural and artificial fresh water pools.

Each tiny chlorella algae cell contains all 21 amino acids to provide a complete protein that is more assimilable than complete meat proteins. And there are many other nutrients compacted into those tiny cells.

It resembles the human blood cell except for that fact that chlorophyl is contained in it’s nucleus instead of iron. And the source of energy for chlorophyl is the planetary source of energy itself – sunlight.

Because chlorella has existed as-is for over a million years, many consider this survival factor the reason for chlorella growth factor (CGF). CGF is the mysterious, mechanically unknown factor that has been observed to promote cellular growth. Perhaps this is part of why the health benefits of chlorella are so great.

However, chlorella’s cell walls were too tough to properly and fully digest, and that ended the mid-twentieth century’s look at chlorella for solving world hunger. But eventually, more than one process of cracking those cell walls was devised to make digesting the algae possible while retaining the walls and the enclosed nutrients.

Keeping those cell walls around even after cracking them for digestibility is necessary because it’s chlorella’s cell walls that bind to toxins in your body in order to eliminate them. This is why you see chlorella products promoted with cracked or broken cell walls.

Finding the Right Chlorella

There have been many clinical lab animal and human tests confirming chlorella‘s detox and liver restoration value with both Chlorella vulgaris (CV) and Chlorella pyrenoidosa (CP). Yet there are those who argue that CP is superior to CV. That appears to be a moot point when considering budgetary allowances.

Adding to this perhaps unnecessary controversy are the more valid issues of chlorella’s source and which of the four methods of cracking the cell walls maintains chlorella’s nutritional and detoxification properties the best.

It appears that Taiwan is a good source, and most of Japan’s sources are actually much closer to Taiwan than Fukushima. Taiwan is actually in the opposite direction of Fukushima’s radiated ocean and air current drifts. So not to worry about Japan sources. South Korea also seems to be a good source. There is a good deal of suspicion surrounding China as a source for several supplements, including chlorella.

But the cell cracking technique, which is rarely disclosed on chlorella packages, is an issue that I will pass to the Health Gladiator with his extensive research for the right chlorella.

Fluoridating Water Supplies Keeps Us Dumb, Docile, and Sick – Let’s End It

Fluoride added to drinking water has been linked with numerous health issues, including cancer and reduced IQ. So let us end water fluoridation for good.

water faucet tap 263x164 Fluoridating Water Supplies Keeps Us Dumb, Docile, and Sick Lets End ItSeveral international studies to date have demonstrated that fluoride added to water is causing numerous health complications, including reduced IQ ratings among children. The notion that drinking fluoridated water contributes to healthier teeth has not been proven, and is slowing disintegrating into thin air. As a matter of fact, there is more evidence that fluoride is harmful rather than helpful

There has been controversy over the activity of adding fluoride to municipal water supplies and elsewhere, but not enough. The seriousness of this issue is more than what most realize, which is why most developed nations refuse to fluoridate their water. Actually, Israel is the latest nation to completely halt water fluoridation, mandatory and voluntary.

Fluoridation ranks with GMO’s, chemically tainted toxic foods, and vaccinations as crimes against humanity. You’ll soon see why implementing some sort of fluoride detox protocol is so important.

What is Fluoride? How did it Get in Our Drinking Water?

There are two basic types of fluoride. Calcium Fluoride appears naturally in many underground water supplies. It is relatively benign. However, too much consumed daily can lead to bone or dental problems.

Since calcium is used to counter fluoride poisoning, perhaps this aspect of calcium fluoride neutralizes much of fluoride’s toxic effects.

On the other hand, the type of fluorides added to water supplies and other beverages, foods, toothpaste products, and pharmaceuticals are waste products of the nuclear, aluminum, and now mostly the phosphate (fertilizer) industries in Florida and China.

The EPA has classified these waste products as toxins: Fluorosilicic acid, sodium silicofluoride, and sodium fluoride. I’m using the term sodium fluoride to include all three types.

Sodium fluoride is used for rat poison and pharmaceutical tranquilizers. According to a scientific study done several years ago, Comparative Toxicity of Fluorine Compounds, industrial waste sodium fluorides are 85 times more toxic than naturally occurring calcium fluoride.

Because farm animals, house pets, and crops were dying and humans becoming gravely ill from gases emitted by phosphate fertilizer plants, the EPA (when it had some teeth) forced those plants to use scrubbers or filters that removed the fluoride toxins from their smoke stack gases.

But the resulting toxic waste sludge was also banned from dumping into lots, landfills, and water streams or lakes. Containing and ridding those toxic wastes required another expense.

So the solution was to sell the governments and the public on using fluoridated water to bolster dental health. Then have municipalities pay to put it into their water supplies. That way, their toxic waste removal expense became profitable.

The Officially Ignored Health Problems

Water fluoridation advocates like to point out that toxic sodium fluoride is okay when it is generously diluted. They’re of the old school perception that if you don’t drop dead or get seriously ill immediately, it’s not toxic.

But fluoride tends to accumulate in the body’s bones and teeth. Recently, it has been discovered to accumulate even more in soft tissue such as the thyroid and pineal glands.

Dental fluorosis from daily fluoridation has been documented. Yet, the American Dental Association (ADA) continues riding a dead horse, promoting water fluoridation. They refuse to admit that instead of preventing tooth decay, fluoride causes even more dental harm.

Also, independent labs and reputable researchers have linked the following health issues with daily long term intake of sodium fluoride:

  • Genetic DNA Damage
  • Thyroid Disruption – Leading to obesity, lethargy, and endocrine issues
  • Neurological DamageDiminished IQ and inability to focus, docility, and weariness.
  • Alzheimer’s Disease – When calcification occurs in the brain.
  • Melatonin Disruption - Lowers immunity to cancer, accelerates aging, increases sleep disorders.
  • Damage to Pineal Gland - Causes calcification in this gland located in the middle of the brain that governs several endocrine/hormonal functions. Some consider this gland the “third eye” or gateway to psychic powers and mystical awareness.

Conclusion:

Humans and animals should not be part of the toxic waste removal system for toxic industries. If others wish to use fluoridated toothpaste or have their dentists coat their teeth with pharmaceutical grade fluoride, both of which have lethal consequences if swallowed, that’s their business.

But forced medication that’s beyond unhealthy is our business. Over 70% of American municipalities fluoridate their water supplies. Resisting and overturning this forced medication health hazard in each city or county is important.

In the meantime, protect yourself and family by filtering your water with combined carbon and reverse osmosis filtration. If it’s impractical to install a system, take advantage of those machines that utilize both systems in food stores. They’re inexpensive. Reverse osmosis does also remove some beneficial minerals. You can add them back with trace mineral solutions or sea salt.

Nowadays, the hub for developing healthy habits isn’t just the gym or home. For kids, at least, it’s increasingly their schools, according to a study released this week by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. School districts across the country are demonstrating a range of improvements in terms of nutrition, exercise and tobacco policies.

For instance, after years of efforts to phase out junk food like candy and chips, the percentage of school districts that prohibited such food in vending machines increased from 29.8 percent in 2006 to 43.4 percent in 2012, according to the CDC’s 2012 School Health Policies and Practices Study. Also, slightly more than half of school districts – up from about 35 percent in 2000 — made information available to families on the nutrition and caloric content of foods available to students.

“Schools play a critical role in the health and well-being of our youth,” said CDC Director Tom Frieden, in the news release. “Good news for students and parents — more students have access to healthy food, better physical fitness activities through initiatives such as ‘Let’s Move,’ and campuses that are completely tobacco free.”

Since 2000, the number of school districts that require elementary schools to teach physical education increased. In addition, the number of districts entering into agreements with local YMCAs, Boys & Girls Clubs or local parks and recreation departments went up, according to the study.

Meanwhile, the percentage of districts with policies that prohibited all tobacco use during any school-related activity increased from 46.7 percent in 2000 to 67.5 percent in 2012.

The CDC study is a periodic, national survey that examines key components of school health at the state, district, school, and classroom level, including health education; physical education and activity; health services; mental health and social services; nutrition services; healthy and safe school environment; faculty and staff health promotion; and family and community involvement.

Well…today has been a challenging one! Not physically, but mentally – yet I am still alive, no-one stared, no-one took the p*ss out of me…or at least not that I noticed…

At 11pm last night I had a text from my sister which basically said that it was okay if I wanted to back out, and that they would still go ahead with the plane visit and so wouldn’t be upset if I didn’t feel that I could go. I knew that it would be a challenge to even get up as early as my brother in law wanted to leave…but also just to put myself out there. Yet I knew that it was something I needed to do; to prove to myself that I am not some Quasimodo style figure that hides away.

So I got up early, had a shower and got ready, packed an overnight bag, ate breakfast and headed down to my sisters house. The kids were really excited and my sister admitted to me whilst we were driving that she didn’t think that I would actually go through with it!

First up was Manchester Airport – with a few detours for petrol and Costa Coffee – to their viewing and picnic area next to the runway. To be honest, I am not sure who was more excited – my nephew, or my brother in law! We parked up and I walked to get a picnic bench with my niece. I was quite a nice little area…apart from the wasps…although it was a little like sitting next to a motorway to have a picnic, or sitting in the middle of a roundabout! The fumes from some of the planes were immense…I feel a little brain-addled even now. Here are pictures of two planes…

20130825-200329.jpg

20130825-200336.jpgNow I know absolutely nothing about planes…the first one was big, the second one was bigger…that’s your lot I’m afraid. Although there were some knowledgeable chaps there – complete with radio transmitters and plane spotting books…they seemed happy with the second plane, so assume that it was something worth spotting!

We didn’t escape without some drama – my niece got stung by a bee…and thought it was a thorn…and wouldn’t let us anywhere near her to have a look. We had over an hour of tears and tantrums…she certainly wasn’t my partner in crime in helping me to blend into the background! ;-)

20130825-200635.jpgThis is the photo that I had to take in order to send it to Dr Ranj for him to give us some advice…bless her! As soon as she was distracted, my sister whipped out the bee sting and my niece burst out laughing, telling us how brave she had been…after the full hour of tears! :-)

Meanwhile, my nephew was just happy to be having a picnic – he consumed most of my lunch and sat happily eating red pepper and grated beetroot with me – and loved seeing the planes.

20130825-200852.jpgAfter we had been dive-bombed by what felt like hundreds of wasps, we gave up and headed across to Sheffield – but not before my niece was stung again! – via Snake Pass and Lady Bower reservoir…very scenic and perfect hiking country…one day I will get my ass up there for a nice walk…although I must admit that I would probably prefer a horse to do the hardwork, so might take my neddies on holiday there instead! ;-)

We then arrived at the hotel and checked in…and then it was the onslaught of the children’s wacky warehouse…what an experience that was! First of all, it smelt of wee! Second of all, they tried to make the kids wear these bib things that were filthy and also smelt of wee…needless to say, I was not impressed and neither was my sister. We let the kids have a run round and then quickly headed to the much nicer outdoor play area.

This was also an experience! I kept an eye on the kids, and at one point was helping my usually scared of heights nephew across a really high rope bridge and down a high slide. However, before he could get down the slide, another child decided to pull his hair and smack him around the face…Aunty saw red and almost tried to clamber up there…before I could do this though, my nephew gave his all and taught this boy a lesson. His Mum ran over, and I was gearing up for a battle, but she very graciously said that he deserved it! Flipping heck…I don’t normally condone violence, but I must admit that I thought this was a lesson well learnt…I doubt that little boy will be doing that again anytime soon…my angelic nephew has a mean right hook, yet is normally very placid!

All in all, it has been a fab day – I have no idea what tomorrow holds in store but I will keep you posted. Bakewell has been mentioned…and the connection with the tarts is a little concerning! My resistance power is high though, so I will be grand with a sniff and a hug.

20130825-204515.jpgSnacks: Ben and Jerry’s ice cream (14 syns).

20130825-203746.jpgToday’s food has been ace, and I have found it really easy to eat out. Well…breakfast was at home – just a pack of salmon trimmings with eggs, scrambled. Lunch I had pre-made and was just a couple of Quorn burgers chopped up with salad and Babybel lights. Dinner was lovely – a gammon steak, with which I opted for the pineapple instead of the fried eggs, and swapped the chips for a plain jacket potato, and ordered a side salad with it. The Ben and Jerry’s was an impulse buy…thanks to a naughty vending machine. I checked the syns out, and it was okay, so I decided to indulge!

Exercise: Not much – just general day to day stuff…but stuff that I don’t normally do!

Thank you for reading…I know that some of you might be wondering what all of the fuss is about, but my Dad was worried at one point that I was becoming a hermit…so this is pretty big progress for me! Enjoy your bank holiday Monday…

Hallucinations are what result from the compounding of delusions upon delusions. A variety of psychotherapeutic techniques are used with psychotic individuals that are aimed at dealing with hallucinations and delusions.

Some common group therapies are as follows:

  1. Thought-stopping, or imagining a large stop sign in one’s mind when hallucinatory or delusional material enters one’s consciousness.
  2. Demonstration and practice of social skills that will allow the psychotic individual to behave in a more appropriate way to help eliminate stigma.
  3. Requiring clients to create narratives or stories — any stories other than the ones to which they adhere, to explain their symptoms. This may alleviate to an extent the entrenched qualities of their delusional systems.
  4. Record-keeping of delusional material that could be later reviewed, perhaps on a weekly basis, for the clients’ personal assessment of its validity. Given the changes in delusional material that the psychotic individual experiences, this material may be more or less evaluated by that individual as believable or as not believable, with respect to his perhaps rapid changes in delusional beliefs.
  5. Relative to the technique expressed above, Socratic questioning, or engaging in dialogue with therapists or clients that allows the psychotic individual to question her beliefs.
  6. Engaging an individual in disclosure of paranoid beliefs in group therapy, and then allowing the therapist to question another group member as to how he thinks that those beliefs are subjectively experienced by the disclosing individual.
  7. Psycho-education: For example, education about biochemical mechanisms regarding how medication works or conveyance of ideas related to how delusional beliefs are reinforced in one’s environment, perhaps by chance alone.

Some approaches are thought to be more effective in psychotic individuals who are concrete thinkers (thinking characterized by objects and events) and others are thought to be effective with abstract thinkers (thinking about concepts, removed from fact).

All of these are good ways of confronting and deconstructing delusional material. However overall, it may be easier for an abstract thinker to dismiss his or her hallucinations as false. Therefore, perhaps cognitive ability can be aligned with mental health.

Can valid delusional systems emerge from the mind of a schizophrenic? There is very little basis for valid, emergent belief systems in this regard. Nevertheless, the idea that biochemistry causes symptoms of hallucinations, may be inadequate in the mind of a schizophrenic, whether that schizophrenia is an abstract or concrete thinker. Hallucinations are visceral experiences and the schizophrenic individual may not be able to adequately renounce his delusions. In fact, the desire to be sane may cause the schizophrenic to rationalize his delusional beliefs.

It’s certainly true that in addition to biochemistry, he mentally ill individual becomes increasingly psychotic by means of psychological and emotional involvement within her mental realm. As the psychotic individual becomes emotionally involved with her hallucinations, she may bond with her hallucinations in a relational way — a form of emotional anarchy.

Hallucinations are not empathic or dependable, and they are not predicable other than the fact that they provide a basis for delusions constituting general habits of thought in the mind of the individual. The psychotic person to some extent creates patterns or habits of mind that may amount to following a train of thought that moves forward as one creates it.

One can tell a mentally ill person that his hallucinations do not exist. But what is really needed instead of “telling” an individual about the nature of his hallucinations is “doing’ something about them. Psychiatric medication represents “doing” as opposed to “telling”. It is essential that administering medications is the presumed “cure”, even if the individual does not notice that his psychopathology is diminishing.

The ideas for enriching group psychotherapy as described above point toward another idea: Intellectualization, while clearly an aspect of “telling”, may also contain a quality of “doing”. The act of thinking logically and analytically about hallucinations and delusional material allows the psychotic individual a sense of detachment from his hallucinations and delusions. If individuals understand the process involved, it may allow for greater detachment, objectivity, and diminished emotionality regarding psychotic experience.

Kids with autistic older sibling have seven-fold risk

That extra risk is smaller than had been suggested in earlier studies. Researchers also found a higher-than-average risk among children whose older half-sibling had an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) - especially if the two kids shared the same mother. ... Why You Must Use A Diet Journal To Lose Weight

I have advised you in the past to take a photo record of your weight loss. As I have mentioned in my earlier post, this method of tracking your weight loss is quite powerful because people are visual creatures. It is easier for people to identify with pictures than mere thoughts and words because pictures show those ideas in effect. With that said, I also suggest that you keep a diet journal when trying to lose weight. While you should use your photo journal to motivate yourself, you should keep a written journal to track your strategy and your plans. These are hard to keep track of using only pictures. Here are the key reasons why you should use a diet journal. Get the whole story here.

You May Not Know About Your Rare Sleep Disorder

Many people who have a rare sleep disorder aren’t even aware of their condition. After all, the activity involved with the sleep disorder whether it is wandering around, eating, acting out aggressively often occur while the person is asleep, so unless they piece the clues together they may not even realize that they have a rare sleep disorder.

Of course, people who have disorders that keep them from falling asleep, or which wake them up incessantly throughout the night, are fully aware that they have a sleeping problem and often consult a doctor or instead turn to medications in an attempt to get a full night’s sleep. What happens when you don’t even know that you have a sleep disorder?

The problem with some rare sleep disorders is that they allow you to act out while sleeping. You might make a meal and eat it without even waking up during the entire episode. You might make strange noises in your sleep, or you might act aggressively against inanimate objects or against the people around you. In very rare and extreme cases, some people have wandered around in a dissociative state that allowed them to take on an entirely new identity for a period of time. In other words, rare sleep disorders can be serious. They are about much more than simply getting a rotten night’s sleep.

If you live with other people, such a spouse, family members, or roommates, they may approach you and complain of odd behaviors during sleeping hours. They may tell you that you have been stumbling around the house and not quite being yourself, and although you don’t remember these instances at all you can’t doubt the reliability of their statements.

Instead of dismissing their words as jokes or insults, you should find out as much information as you can from them. Ask if you ever act aggressively, or if you carry on full conversations. Armed with all this knowledge, you should consult a doctor or sleep specialist to find out what the problem is and what you can do to get help.

It may be a little more difficult to figure out that you have a rare sleep disorder if you live alone. Without another person available to actually witness whatever sleep behavior you demonstrate, you will have to guess based on how you feel after sleeping and additionally by paying attention to anything that may seem different the next morning. Do you feel tired and not very well rested?

Do things look differently than they did the night before, such as furniture moved or things out that weren’t out when you went to sleep? If you notice these instances, you may want to set up a video camera to see if you exhibit any interesting behaviors while you are sleeping. Of course, not all rare sleep disorders include affected people getting up and moving around at night, but this can be a fairly reliable indicator that there is something going on that needs to be mentioned to a doctor.

Senator Calls for ‘Dietary Supplement Labeling Act’ Instead of GMO Labeling: No One is Fooled

Senator Dick Durbin has called for a 'dietary supplement labeling act' to 'improve safety' of supplements, all while ignoring GMO labeling completely.

senator 263x156 Senator Calls for ‘Dietary Supplement Labeling Act’ Instead of GMO Labeling: No One is FooledSenator Dick Durbin thinks that one of the safest food supplements on the planet – supplements that causes less deaths per year than bee stings, should be labeled. Why so much attention to dietary supplements that can boost fat loss and improve health when GMO foods, which are known to cause cancer, organ failure and reproductive issues as drastic as uterine swelling and endometriosis, go unnoticed? Perhaps the supplement industry is competing with Big Pharma and Big Agriculture – the deadly duo that will first poison you with genetically modified foods and then offer the ‘medicine’ to cure it, only to poison you a second time with unnatural drugs, chemotherapy and radiation. Maybe.

The bill was first introduced by Senator Durbin as S.1310, ‘The Dietary Supplement Labeling Act’ and now is being re-presented as S.1425. It seems to be just another attack on ‘alternative’ medicine or natural therapies which cost pennies compared to the Pharmaceutical and Big Ag companies inflated prices. Some very astute individuals have called this an orchestrated monopoly on our health.

“These privileges, mind you, would not and could not exist without the very active participation of government enforcers who ensure that any serious competitors will be regulated out of existence or into insignificance. And if, by chance, any of these competitors should pose a serious threat to the medical mafia, then heavy fines, incarceration, and public humiliation will be their fate.” (National Health Federation)

While the public’s continued demands for GMO labeling are ignroed, this ridiculous attempt to over-regulate the natural supplement industry will only give the FDA the dubious ability to eliminate safe supplements which are already overseen by the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994. There are already very strict adverse-event reporting requirements by all supplement manufacturers.

But it seems that those in charge will continue looking for anything to label that aren’t GMOs, even ‘machine tenderized’ meat.

Senator Durbin may think his actions are not transparent – but we can see straight through the business-as-usual politic of over-regulating industries that would pose any threat whatsoever to Big Pharma and Big Ag companies.

So, you end up eating whatever, whenever, and how ever you can; not the best recipe for success when it comes to losing weight. You can get the whole story here.

Study Finds Blueberry Compound to Kill Cancer Cells, Blasts Cancer Radiation Treatment

Study Finds Blueberry Compound to Kill Cancer Cells, Blasts Cancer Radiation Treatment
Recent research has found that a natural substance in blueberries can somewhat negate the adverse effects of irradiation while inducing cancer cell death.

blueberries 263x164 Study Finds Blueberry Compound to Kill Cancer Cells, Blasts Cancer Radiation TreatmentIn the battle against cancer, there are many conflicting theories. But one thing you’ll very seldom hear is that conventional treatments like radiation and chemotherapy are good for you. On the contrary, many cancer survivors swear off using such treatments ever again. So, when research comes out that substantiates their feelings and indicates such treatments may actually be doing more harm than good, it signals a possible shift in conventional thinking. One such piece of research has found that blueberries can somewhat negate the adverse effects of irradiation while inducing cancer cell death.

One such study, published in the journal eCAM, offers two promising findings. One of those findings is that a component of blueberries can actually suppress “adverse changes associated with irradiation.” The other finding: that radiation treatment leads to the “enrichment” of hepatoma (liver cancer) stem cells. Yes, radiation makes these cancer cells stronger and more plentiful.

While conventional cancer treatments would have you think that blasting every cancer-related cell in the body with radiation and toxins will eventually rid you of the disease, this isn’t the only theory.

For centuries, scientists have observed a certain type of cancer cell that resemble embryonic tissue. These cells, known as cancer stem cells, are believed to produce the various cancer cells throughout the body. They are, in essence, the brain behind cancer proliferation. This theory is known as the embryonal rest theory of cancer (ERTC) and conventional treatments don’t ascribe to it.

Read: Milk Thistle Protects Against Chemo Toxicity, Prevents Cancer

Conventional cancer treatments target tumor cells; they attempt to eradicate everything within the tumor. But, research has shown that although these treatments may kill off the smaller cancerous tumor cells, they actually enrich the cancer stem cells. What this means for a cancer patient is a possible reemergence of cancer somewhere else in the body at a later date. Such an occurrence, according to the thinking of conventional medicine, is totally unrelated to the original cancer. It is written off as being linked and therefore any connection to the conventional treatments is disregarded.

This latest study, however, indicates radiation does, in fact, enrich cancer stem cells, in alignment with the ERTC/Cancer Stem Cell explanation. But more than that, the study indicates a natural substance found in blueberries can cause programmed cell death (apoptosis), even killing the cancer stem cells within various cancer types.

While the authors of the study, true to form with conventional science, conclude by saying radiation treatment should be supplemented with the beneficial blueberry compound, we see their work as further evidence that radiation may not be the answer to cancer at all and that further research money needs to be poured into those studies looking at natural and wholly beneficial remedies. The health benefits of blueberries shouldn’t be overlooked.

5 Home Remedies for Healthy Hair

When it comes to having healthy, beautiful hair, you need to start from the inside out. Just like your skin appearance reflects a diet, so does your hair. Here are 5 home remedies for healthy hair.

hair3 263x164 5 Home Remedies for Healthy HairWhen it comes to having healthy, beautiful hair, you need to start from the inside out. Just like your skin appearance reflects a healthy diet, so does your hair. Nutritional deficiencies and simple poor self-care can lead to limp, dry, or lifeless hair. But in addition to giving your hair a healthy foundation from which to grow, there are also home remedies that can deliver simple added benefits.

  • 1. Honey - A natural humectant, honey is great if you suffer from dry, damaged hair. Simply massage about ½ cup into hair and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Manduka honey is best, but any raw honey will work. You can stir in an egg yolk or even some mashed avocado for additional moisture. Here are some other health benefits of honey.
  • 2. Apple Cider Vinegar - Like raw honey and coconut oil, raw apple cider vinegar should already be in your arsenal. This works to soften and smooth hair follicles while gently removing excess oils. Use the vinegar as a rinse. Dilute a few tablespoons in water and rinse your hair with it after washing. Let sit for a few minutes before rinsing. The smell will dissipate and you’ll be left with softer locks. Promoting healthy hair is just one benefit of apple cider vinegar – check out other apple cider vinegar cures here.
  • 3. Coconut Oil - Another great remedy for dry and damaged locks is coconut oil. If you’re like most natural health aficionados, you already have some in the kitchen and bathroom.
